I am retired from the U. S. Coast Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer (W3) Naval Engineering with 24 years service. My 10-10 Number is 47516. I was an active HAM, from 1982 to 1988, became inactive, and just last November, became active again. I have just recently moved from Kenner, LA, to Metairie, LA, which is approximetely 13 miles west of New Orleans. Unfortunately, I still live in an area that is restrictive for a tower, so I am limited with my antennas. My primary station consists of the Yaesu FTDX 9000 Contest, using the Heil boom assembly with the Gold GM Elite microphone and headset. My antenna is a Hexxagonal Beam, Mark 2 from DX Engineering, up at 35 feet on a push-up pole and a Hy-Gain vertical dipole antenna, Model AV-6160 mounted on a fence post in my back yard, an inverted vee for 20 and 40 meters, up about 30 feet, along with a MFJ-998 antenna tuner, and occasionlly the Alpha 78 amplifier. My secondary rig is the Yaesu FT-2000, with the same microphone set up. At 74, I am fully retired and I use the free ARRL's Logbook Of The World (LOTW), ARRL's incoming and outgoing QSL's bureau service, Ham Radio Deluxe Logbook, QRZ Logbook and eQSL for my QSL's. My E-Mail address is FredHanni@cox.net. Have a pleasant day and may the good Lord take a liking to you! As they say here in Louisiana "We see you somemore later, Alligator and after while, Crocodile!" Best of 73's to you and your family!!! - Fred -
