About me:

Born in Manhattan, NY in 1954 and living in PR since 1958.

Central High School (Santurce) from 1968-1971. College of Agricultural and Mechanical Arts (CAAM-Mayaguez) majoring in Biology and Chemistry in 1977.

Worked at the PR Environmental Quality Board, Center for Energy and Environmental Research, Environmental Research and Technology (ERT) in Mass, Beckman Instruments, General Electric, Novartis Consumer Health and FMCTI.

I enjoy jogging, road bicycle long distance riding, underwater spearfishing (apnea), collecting old underwater hunting spearguns and spearfishing books and SCUBA diving (ex-PADI SCUBA Instructor) with vintage scuba equipment and with oxygen home made rebreathers. I am also very interested in Russian and Eastern European history, culture and technology.

My love for the radio hobby:

I have been playing with radios since I inherited a Panasonic RF-2200 SW radio from my father in 1979 and in 1987 I became a licensed radio amateur.

My main interests in radio are HF/SSB DX, HF packet, SSTV and SWL radio communications (broadcast stations DXing, pirates and utilities) and collecting awards.

I specially enjoy DXing for Pacific, Asian and East European countries.
