I was introduced to amateur radio as a teenager when a friend gave me a Drake TR4, I spent a lot of time listening to it but I didn't get licensed until January, 2019.  

In addition to using the local 2m/70cm repeaters for club activities, I usually prefer to work SSB on 40, 20, and 10 meters.  I am not an active contester, but I will occasionally participate in contests. 

I am active with the Sumner County, Tennessee Amateur Radio Association, and assistant Net manager for Sumner County ARES.

My primary HF setup uses a Yaesu FT-450D running barefoot with an 80m OCFD that I built, elevated about 35 feet.  I still have the TR4, and use it as well.
