 First licensed as a novice as WN9WYI in February 1968 in  West Bend, WI. General license August 1968, Advanced license 1970, Extra Class license 1979. First Class FCC License 1979. My Ham radio career was interrupted from 1971 to 1977 serving in the  Navy as a nuclear reactor operator on submarine USS WM. H. Bates SSN680. Now retired, spent the rest of my career working as an electronic technician and process engineer for a medical electronics company. Presently running a Kenwood TS-2000 with a OCFD Dipole at 30 feet and a 272 Foot Loop Antenna. Since September 2018, I have been using FT8 on  160, 80, 40, 20 and 17, 15, 10. Active on 144 and 440 MHZ mobile and base. I am amember of the Washington County Amateur Radio Club and the Wisconsin Amateur Radio Club (W9CQ).
