 I am Cuban, my family and I came to the USA in 1971 with the freedom flights, when Richard Nixon was the president .

I graduated from Hialeah Sr. High in 1982. Back in 1998 my family and I moved from Miami to Lake Placid, Florida where I attended the law enforcement academy in 2002 and have been working in this field since then. Presently I am an investigator for the State of Florida.

From 1984-1986 I worked for Heathkit Electronics in Hialeah where I was presented to the HAM and electronics world. I worked as a field technician for a beeper company and managed a few electronics stores in South Florida from the year 1987 to 1998 . My uncle Heberto Galicia (silent key),  helped me learn the regulations to take the test, but with his sudden death I never took the test. After years I again looked into becoming a HAM operator and  I re-studied the materials and passed the requirements for a my radio license.
