Licensed in 1970 as WB8LIG I was active on the low bands until I started working on my degree in Computer Science. For about 15 years I only worked 2 meters and was active in our local ARES group. I've been in the cable television business for 41 years and our local repeater WB8ULC 146.07/67 is located on our 500 foot tower at the office.

I just returned to the low bands with the purchase of a Kenwood TS-480HX and a GAP Titan DX vertical antenna. Found the program HRD and loaded that up on the computer and the rest is history. What a wonderful mix of Ham Radio and Computer.

I saw that the call W8LIG was available and filed for that call which was granted in 2008. I'm working JT65, BPSK, RTTY, SSB and other digital modes on all bands.
