Welcome to the QRZ web page of W0ALA. I don't have a lot on here but thank you for checking it out.

I received my general ticket April  4th of 2015.

I worked as an electrician for 20 years in the family business before co-founding a EMR/EHR (Electronic Medical/Health Records) company for Cardiology Practices in 1995. I retired in 2010. During my time as an electrician I installed TV transmitters and Large Shortwave Broadcast systems around the country. I have always had an interest in ham radio. I was introduced to ham radio by a friend who gave me a military surplus receiver when I was a young boy that I listed to until my early twenties. I decided that in my retirment I might as well get my license. So in April of this year I got my license. Yea!! Now I'm have a blast exploring the air waves.
