I first went to Lord Howe island or the CQWW in October 1979 and experienced the thrill of working 6M DX for the first time from a rare dx location.

In 1990 I went back in MARCH and together with peter VK8ZLX and Joel N6AMG (sk) we set new records and worked 25 countries.

In DEC 1990 I went back to experience summer Es and worked all states and VK6 Perth.
