Hello,

Ham since April 1st 2010.  I'm enjoying this hobby very much, I always wanted to become a Ham operator since I was in my early teens.

I have a background in electronics repairs and computers, worked for 911 dispatch center in my City for 18 yrs as a 911 dispatcher.  In 2004 I decided to venture in business, and in 2010, decided business was not for me.  I have returned as a dispatcher for the City of Bathurst. 

As you could see eletronics and computers mix with emergency communication is a perfect match for Ham operation HI.

I enjoy ragchewing very much as I like to get to know people and have other contact with them.  I think this is what I enjoy the most.  However, when a contest is on, I like to answer the CQ to see how many people could hear me.

With this hobby there is so much someone could do, and you don't have to do what the other ham are doing, you just have to use your imagination and pick what you like to do.  Not to many hobby offer this variety of choices.

For me, I run 100watts max, no linear, and I always find a way for people to hear me in a pillup...
