User info
I have been licensed since 1971, and have kept the same callsign since then. I can only operate QRP using attic antennas from my condo in Belleville, otherwise I trigger the fire and carbon monoxide alarms. All of the home QTH rigs are home built, either home brew or from kits, and antennas consist of a 15/20 M ground plane, a 17M dipole, a 30 M dipole and an 'all purpose' 60 foot doublet fed with tuned feeders, which seems to work great on 40M.
I also enjoy operating from my cabin located in rural Eastern Ontario, near the village of Cloyne, grid square FN14JU, about 100 KM northeast of the home QTH. There I run 100 Watts from an old Yaesu FT-757GX and dipole antennas. My rural location is blessed with an extremely low noise level, and lots of tall pine trees for antenna supports.
My favourite mode is CW, although I do operate SSB occasionally.
