It all started many years ago, back in the early eighties, my family and I, went to visit a relative, when I still lived in the city of Mérida, Venezuela; a young man, a far cousin, who was twice my age wanted to show me something and then happened that moment, whose magic lingers in the depths of my heart, even after all this time. A shortwave radio came in to in my hands, and an eight year old boy fell in love madly and forever of the phenomenon we called "Radio".
As in my memory, with lots of nostalgia, I can remeber the sounds of identification signals, belonged to stations that today are extinct on the international broadcasting bands; Radio Moscow, Deutsche Welle, BBC, VOA, Radio Netherland, Radio Canada ITNL, among others, when the world used to be dancing at the rhythm of the Cold War.
I began in that way, and going through the SWL and CB (1YX4914), in September 2013, it did became a reality what I think was the first project that I decided to make in my life, which was the desire of being a licensed Ham.
And finally , I hope to have at least once, the opportunity to cross antennas with all of you, my fellows Radio Amateurs!
