I have been interested in Radio Amateurs since 1970. Through having a basic knowledge about this hobby I got accepted as a member of Club Communications, SP6KBE. After passing the exams with my knowledge of the radio, Morse code/alphabet and the ability to transmit on the amateur bands I obtained a license to broadcast and gained the call sign SP6FPY in 1972. Amateur Radio is my passion and hobby. I am interested in computers, cars and widely understand technology, in particular industrial automation. This is also related to my profession.
For many years I used to transmit on amateur radio bands using devices that I handmade at home. They consisted of transmitters, transceivers tubes, transistor, SSTV and RTTY modems and homemade antennas. I was one of the HAM-s in Wroclaw, who gave the issue SSTV and RTTY. I have devoted a lot of time towards building these devises/facilities and it has given me a lot of pleasure and joy, especially when the hand-built devices established long-range communications.
