I am PU3GAP - Amilton Passos ∴
I am a Veteran of the Brazilian Army with experience in security, culture, and operations. My career includes roles as a Musician, Conductor of the Military Symphony Orchestra, operational motorcyclist, and driving instructor for the Military Police, as well as personal security for high-ranking officers. As a long-distance motorcyclist, I am a Certified Member No. 11,309 of the Iron Butt Association (USA).

In 1970, influenced by my father, I began listening to shortwave radio stations.
In 1985, I became a CB radio operator - PX3Q068.
In 2000, I became a Class D amateur radio operator - ZZ3AMP.
In 2008, I was awarded the Padre Roberto Landell de Moura Medal by LABRE-RJ.
In 2011, I became a Class C amateur radio operator - PU3GAP.
In 2017 (a), I received the Diploma of Friends of ESCOM - Brazilian Army Communications School.
In 2017 (b), I received the title of Member of the Order of Knights of the Brazilian Army Communications School.
In 2021, I became a shortwave (SWL) listener - PY3387SWL.

I operate in HF, VHF, UHF, Digital Voice, DMR, DSTAR, FT8, FT4, MSFK, APRS, CA4FM, PSK, WSPR, EchoLink, Peanut, Zello and satellite modes.

Amateur radio is a big family, and I thank my mentors PY3LK Jairo, PY3RG Rogério and PY3DXM Daniel, who taught me this journey.

Currently, I direct my experience as a Writer, Historian and Volunteer in religious, humanitarian and philanthropic initiatives.
