 My name is Ben, and I’m the proud holder of the callsign PD9SD.

I earned my amateur radio license on October 1st, 2025, a great milestone after being fascinated by radio communications since my younger years. I’ve been “infected with the HF virus” for as long as I can remember — and that passion never went away.

HF Activity

On the HF bands, I operate with an Icom IC-7300, paired with a home-built shortened EndFed antenna for the 10, 20, and 40 meter bands on 5 meters High. For VHF and UHF, I use a Yaesu FTM-510D, which gives me great performance on local repeaters and simplex contacts.
I enjoy experimenting with antennas and continuously learning more about HF operation and propagation.
