 Hello to you all!

My name is Freddy Meijer and my QTH is Sneek (friesland, The Netherlands)

I’m 40 years old.

When i was about 12 years of ace i was using a danita 640  for the cb (11 meter band). I got some nice dx on 4 watt FM in both Holland and Germany.

Because i went to school at the abel Tasman in Groningen Delzijl. I was living there from Monday till Friday. In the weekend there were a lot of things that went on before the hobby of cb. I boxed the cb stuff an put it on the attic.

When my parents wanted to move we were cleaning the attic out. When my son found the cd radio he asked me what it was. This was in January 2017.

That was the begin of a new old hobby. We installed the Danita 640 and bought a GPA antenna. There it was that i discovered that there was a lot of interference at the HF band. I decided to go for my license. Because i already got my Maritime certificate (Marcom A) i thought it would be the same as cycling. Once you know you know and you never forget.

This was not quit what was happening. I went to Leeuwarden where there is a club.(FRAG Friese radio amateur groep). They offered a course for F(ull) license.
