User info

At the age of 9 I returned with my family in Arnhem in July 1945. We were evacuated from the 19th of September 1944 because ot the battle of Arnhem. ( A Bridge too far ).

Our home completely destroyed. Nothing left. But for a young boy with interests in electronics an interesting time began at that moment. The years thereafter a lot of surplus electronic material became available. I bought an army receiver made by Marconi. The Admiralty Pattern M361 receiver. 100 Khz - 8.5 Mhz. Besides I builded a LW MW SW radio tuner and a LF amplifier with among other things a 807 tube.

Much later in 1980 I got a novice licence PD0JDR. In 1981 licence PE1IQS. Then I started CW training resulting in licence PB0ABR.Finally I received in 1983 my F amateur licence PA3DAH.

 From 1980 - 1984 I had a guest licence in France, F0GCL, and in Belgium from 1981 - 1982 ON8EB.

Nowadays transceiver is an IC-7300. Antenna tuner is a VCiVectronics ( old version ).

Antenna is a SE HF-360 vertical just above the roof of an eight floor building.
