I'm licensend in 1974 and was active mainly on 145MHz in FM and SSB. I quit the ham bands due to the changes of jobs and moves through the country. In late 2012 my interest in the ham bands came back by finding my old Yaesu FT290 2meter all mode set and also my old Yaesu FTdx500.

Now I use a Yaesu FT-879-D and an end fed wire antenna for 80; 40; 20; 15 and 10 meter band and a vertical (Lafayette MA6000) for VHF and UHF.
