Licensed since August of 1970, original distinctive novice callsign WN4SBE, in Murfreesboro, TN.
Upgraded to Advanced in March of 1971, and received coordinated callsign WB4SBE.
Upgraded in April of 2000 to Extra, passing the 20 wpm code test just before the requirements were dropped to 5 wpm.
Have resided in Ann Arbor since 1982, and have been a member of QCWA since 1995.
After holding the same callsign (WB4SBE) for 36 years, but residing in the 'W8' call area for the last 25, I finally bit the bullet and applied for, and received a 'coordinated' vanity call, N8SBE. Now, hopefully, I won't have to keep telling contest ops that "I'm NOT in Virgina" 8-)
