 My interest in amateur radio began with emergency preparedness in mind. I passed my Technician exam in August 2013. My callsign was KK4TBF. In October 2013, I upgraded to General and maintained KK4TBF.

I started out with a Baofeng UV-5R+, then added a Yaesu FT-2900R, 2 meter mobile rig in my house, and a Yaesu FT-8800 in my vehicle. Unfortunately, my activity with amateur radio became minimal after my relocation from NC to FL in 2014. In spring 2017, I decided it was time to change that and finally setup an HF rig at home. I'm now running an Icom 7300 with a Multiband End Fed Half Wave antenna from MyAntennas.com.

As of June 2 2017, my callsign has changed to N4XBH.

I'm currently studying for the Amateur Extra exam.

A native of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, I have also lived in many states down the east coast of the U.S. (Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, & Florida). I currently reside in Spring Hill, FL.
