User info

I have been an Amateur Radio operator since 1994, while in elementary school I obtained my ticket. I was not active until 2007 when I got a house with some land so I could put up antennas and a tower. I enjoy rag chewing, chasing DX and working towards awards on the 3905 Century Club.
The shack equipment: Icom 746 Pro, Kenwood Ts450sat, Clipperton L Amplifier, Icom 2100 2 meters. My antennas, Hy-gain EXP 14, A 4 Element 10/15/20 Meter HF Beam Antenna and a 265 foot Windom at 50 feet.
Today I am a Professional Firefighter EMT for a small city of 13,ooo. What a great schedule! I work a 24 hour shift and have 72 hours off, plenty of time for ham radio. What a great job, I wouldn't change it for the world! My days off from the fire station I have a small hobby farm. My wife and I enjoy going to gymkhanas with our horses and on long trail rides. Outdoor life here in Vermont is awesome.
You can find me on the HF bands, 10 through 160 meters. I am working for different awards so QSL cards are very important. If I fail to send you a card shoot me an email and I will get it out to you yesterday! No SASE needed, I believe in card for card. On the WAS nets I prefer to QSL via the Bureaus, I am good in the OMISS and 3905 Century Clubs Bureaus.
Thanks for stopping by, 73 Gary
