My main rig is an Icom IC-7300 for SSB and some FT8. Other rigs are a Kenwood TS-530SP (Hybrid) for SSB, a Yaesu FT-817ND for FT8 and Portable QRP.
Military "Green" radios are: Clansman PRC-320, PRC-350, PRC-352 and a Racal VRM-5080 Tank Transceiver.
I also have a Racal Cougar (Programmed for 2M FM Band) Special Forces Radio and a Tesla RF-10 Czech Military VHF (FM) Radio.
I mainly operate on HF (Phone), FT8 and 4m (Phone).
I am a qualified Electrical/Electronics Engineer and a qualified Teacher. I have worked for various high calibre organisations on various IT and Electronics projects and have taught Engineering and Science subjects for many years to people of all ages and abilities.
I currently work as a Teacher of Engineering at the University Technical College Norwich, teaching Electrical/Electronic Engineering to ‘A’ level students which Is the best job in the world!
My other hobbies are photography, and I enjoy trips away with my wife Gillian in our caravan during the summer. I also like to send and receive paper QSL cards.
