I came into this world on 27/08/1966 in Boston, Lincolnshire UK. But I was a bad baby I didn’t breathe straigh away,so this meant I ended up with CP.( I  nick named this is Crack Pot) Well it helps to be a bit crackers to get  on in life. I went to boarding school in Lincoln when was 5 years old 1971, they 1983 I when to collage in Mansfield’s for 2 years but stay on another year with on conditions I got my own computer with was the BBC.B. then, one of the best things of my life. I just don’t know what I would do with them that is so muchI can do with them. Then when I finish at collage 108/08/1986 I came back to Lincoln to a Residential care home,  The first night I decide I was not stay here the rest of my life and when to college there but that did not work out very well because it was for people with leaned difficult and there was one BBC Computer in the classroom that I kown how to work I think better than the person in charge. Mainly we lean about even day life.  Than they started work replacements one day a week or more any time when by, but I didn’t so setting in empty classroom not leaned anything was not for me. Than after a lot off push I started one day in the main college in the computer department which I did enjoyed but that was short live. As my health took a noise dive (No the diagram part of the brain stay the same but the body dose get worth in some kind of CP).  So walking ¼ miles up to the maid college and the getting upstairs took it told on my body, as I was in pain all time and was using a manual wheelchair more when someone could push me. Than when I could not coped which that I try Itec and till my body said no to that, I did enjoyed that as it was computer.

They I had a spell at Ancaster Day Centre, that I did not  like a tail  but there was a computer room not being use until someone came in on Wednesdays , so one day I when in and sat by a computer and waited for him took so me what to do, ok I new what to do but I wanted to know what him newed and that was not a lot a tall.  So I ended up helping with setting up the computers for people to come in and use. They I had 3 months in hostpla to try to help with the pain + a a lot Treatments beforehand but it did not help in the long turn so I  said anoth is anoth.  In this time at Ancaster day Centre I did  take one exam or three part and that was RSA in computer but as I knew that any way and I just sat it for a bit of paper to show that I did know  and in hope it would lead on to as things. Then  4 years after I move in, I move out of the Care home park into a impendent flat still in the same building .in 02/10/1990 

In October 1994 g8ymw  Tony  knock on my door who I new  but we get to know each other better, and so we find our settle  getting married in 2000 And on the 22/12/2000 We escape from that flat and that building  With I call the zoo. I am not one for sitting on 4 wheels and vegetating and as I had be around disables people sent I was 5 Years olds

In October of 2001 I got my motor bike (tripe) this is another thing that I have always  hope for and aim for to drive on the road it well do 40 MPH. Later I have upgrade to a 80cc abit better than 30cc but with the weight of the wheelchair it dose slow it down.

So ending in here 5k from Lincoln Cathedral and 3k from Waddington Air Fields may by not the best location for Radio.  But Tony was having a laid off and I was not license then. It was about a year later Tony G8YMW Got back into it.  So I began to looking at the Radio the buttons and nods and what it could do.  I reminded me of was I was 8 years old I brought myself a Sony broadcast radio which had AM. LW.  SW. and FM I would listen to this and release that when the TV picture was bad, the weather man talk about high pester or thunder around I uose to listen to my radio and just go up and down all the brand to see how many I could hear different stations it did not mater it I could not understand them I would take my radio to bed with earphone making sure the bed clothes were well up as I was most problem meant to been asleep especially at school.

So when RAF Waddington was doing a M3 course in September 2003 I push my name down and took the M3 not knowing how much I would get out of radio because of my voice but it would be a exam under my belt. Then I learn that they were a lot more mode the you could used a computer with the radio and that did appealer to me, I had a bit of luck with this but as yet is dose not work every time, Also there is ATV which interested me and at that time you had to be a 2e0 for that but still it not setup. On January the 18 01/2004 sat a exam this was my second time as the first time was a cock-up people can’t understand why I didn’t past but Oh well, I past the second time round.  So now I am a Radio ham my call sign

is M3LUY, Tony had been one for 24 years his call sign is G8YMW the call sign in unique to each person. I also said that I was hoping to take the second exam which is 2E0 and I did the second time around on 25 April so now my call sign is 2EOLUY and M3LUY  until  I done renews it a license cost 15 proud a year at the moment. The 2EOLUY entitle me to 50wats and to work on all radio ham bands, and make your own equipment if I want and to use ex PMR.Radios which are old taxi radio or may be old police radio,  also some other bits and bobs  Now there is one more part to do the M0 Witch is the Full, I am slowly studying for that but  this is a lot more involved  Last time that I wrote to you I had passed the 2E0 exam and said that there was one more part to do The "M0" which is the Advanced or Full, I am slowly studying for that but this is a lot more involved.  Well I am pleased to say I sat the M0 exam on 14/07/ 2006 and after waiting about 5 to 6 weeks the longest weeks in my life it seemed at the time I got the results on 25/08/2006 and passed first time, how I still don’t know.  So on 26,08,2006 my Advanced license. Birthday present or what? 

Seen January 2007,  until January 2010 I had been QSL Manger for RAF WADDINGTON ARS. I did  enjoy this job because it mean that I could do something for the club which done not need a good voice or claiming ladders. It just need a computer, printer and Camera and petty of time to design the QSL Cards. Also making.

We both enjoy Species events getting out and about, as we enjoy camping and caravan and the outdoor life. In 2007 we brought a second hand caravan which is so much better for special event. That we go on through out the year  which RAF Waddington ARC AND I organize GB0VWW is Notth Cotes with Tony to do those things that I can’t but I do not let wheels hold me back.

TThis is where you me /p in the summer month as we know the framer and can put anntenors up and a 202ft duble up.

I am still working on getting data mode working right I hd a few contaxt on is and than somethings will pack up like my Radio, data box or my computer.

Also Morse intest me so I am trying to lrrean it but it is hard going when my hight pitch hearing is not good, yes as some will say a true Radio Ham death!. But I would love to talk to people wiithout a keybroad in front on me all time, may be one day just using the Q Code only time will tell and alot of hard work.

I do love 4m and 70cm as people come back to me either with a voice like my, Where I do msin stream band I have come across some funny people that have made me mad,let put is like that.

Now I have got a new commucation aid in June last year 2009 and I do enter contest with that and will be using more and more on the Radio so if you hear a roboxtic voice or a funny voice it just could be me.
