My name is Agi - it's an abbreviated name from Aggeusz (Agi is better for ham-radio using). I was born in eastern Poland in 1977. My first contact with our hobby was in 1994, but I've been a licensed amateur operator since 2009 as SQ5RDE. Now, that I have lived in NE England, I was assigned a new sign (M0IGA) in January 2016.

 

 

South Shields is a small and beautiful town located at the coastline, at the mouth of the river Tyne. Close to the river, there is a Roman fort Arbeia, founded around 120 A.D. The fort is part of Hadrian's Wall, built by the Romans as a protection against Picts. The second and my favourite landmark is? Souter Lighthouse, the first world electrical lighthouse ever, opened in 1871. The Lighthouse is approximately three miles south from the mouth of the river Tyne.
