 Born in the city of Chester, Cheshire (a Cestrian) I was first licenced in 1970 with the call G8DMR, from 1973~1977 I was active on 2m FM/SSB from Wrexham, North Wales with the call GW8DMR.

Since 1977 I have lived in the village of Old Basing near Basingstoke in the county of Hampshire (apart from 1983~1986 when I lived and worked in Geneva, Switzerland)

I have held the full call M0GWC since June 2002.

Currently active on 80 through 10 metres, mainly digital modes (PSK, JT65, JT9)

Equipment: Kenwood TS-590SG, TS-480SAT, TM-D700E & TH-D7E

Antennas: Dipoles for 80 and 40m

Retired in 2014 having worked in the broadcast/satellite communications industry since 1980 with Sematron UK, Music Choice Europe, Grass Valley Group & Sony Broadcast.
