 Hi All!

This is Larry, KV7LC, here with a short little bio about myself.  I was first introduced to the world of Amateur Radio when I was in middle school by David Mayzes (KC7MP) who was teaching a 4H class on radio.  We had the opportunity to take the Novice test while in the group.  I was able to pass the written test, but I never took the opportunity to take the code test.

Many years later I found myself interested in the hobby again and started to study for the Technician test.  I was very happy to find out that the code portion of the test had been dropped by the FCC so I only had to take the written test.  On August 24, 2006 I walked into a testing session and took my Technician test and passed!!!  A few weeks later I purchased my first radio a Yeasu VX-6.  Other then a few attempts at getting on the air, I didn't do much with the radio except take it with me camping and stuff.  That all changed in 2015 when I got involved with a great radio club.  With the encouragement of the club members and some help I was able to test and pass the General Exam and then about 2 months later, on June 15, 2016, the Extra exam.
