Hello, I'm Glenn Anderson. I live in Gig Harbor, WA near Seattle and Tacoma.
I started out as a radio repairman for the Army Security Agency in 1970. I was stationed on a remote island on the Aleutian chain called Shemya. We monitored ICBMs and Russian space flights. When I came home I earned a degree in electronics from Green River College and started a career as an electronic technician.
For retirement, I own a business Anderson Classic Radios with my wife, Jan, repairing classic radios and reselling them. We have a website by the same name, you can see our radios and videos of them playing.
Working on antique radios is like coming home to my first love. I like the feeling of another era that I partly shared in. The classic style of the golden era radios evokes a kinder, gentler time in my mind.
I decided to finally get my ham license in February of 2014. I have a Kenwood 530S and MFJ 949E tuner, and SignaLink USB. I made a delta triangle wire antenna using trees in my backyard in Gig Harbor, WA. I got my Amatuer Extra and am having a blast. I would like to do some DX work. I also have a BaoFeng GT-5 Two-Way Radio, Dual Band VHF/UHF 136-174/400-520MHz hand held radio.

Jan, my wife leaning on a radio we just restored. Here I am with my work bench behind me.
You can see our radios at AndersonClassicRadios.com
73 to all and have a good day.
