User info
Hello!
My name is Mike Seamans and I've been a Ham Radio enthusiast for about 1 1/2 years...
I currently work as a Software Engineer for a top 20 bank here in the United States for the past 6+ years and have been in the IT industry for over 25 years. I first started with computers in 1982 with TRS-80 and Apple II systems and was writing Pascal code while at college at Arizona State University in 1984.
I joined the U.S. Army in 1987 and have been involved with IT ever since. In 1990, I had the honor of being assigned to the White House Communications Agency (WHCA) until I left the service in July, 1996. WHCA is where I got interested in Radio communications, as we frequently talked to Air Force One from our communication centers via secure UHF radio.
Currently, all of my radio education is self-taught to date and I like to learn on my own but appreciate getting tips and information from those that have been in the hobby for many years!
I currently reside in the Tampa, Florida area, but in the next few months, my Fiancee and I will be moving to the Chandler/Gilbert, Arizona area. Hurricane Irma definitely convinced us that life is too short to be running away from storms! On top of that, I have a lot of family in that area, so it's a good idea!
Thanks for visiting my page here on QRZ.COM and if you want to drop me an email, please contact me at MSEAMANS66@GMAIL.COM.
Thanks & 73s!!!
