Licensed in 1978 with the help of the Nutley Amateur Radio Society, Nutley, New Jersey

Equipment list:For PSK Kenwood TS940SAT, antenna is either an Alpha Delta DX-CC fan dipole or a Hygain 6BTV Vertical on roof of 3 Story building. the QTH is a small building with 2 apartments on each floor so the roof is a bit small.
I don't own the building but the owner gave me permission to use the roof as I see fit. He's a policeman friend of mine. The rest of the equipment is as follows: Kenwood TS50S (backup) never used it mobile, Kenwood TM241A mobile, I also have a Uniden HR2600 with the Chipswitch added to it about 11 years ago. the antenna tuner is an MFJ989C which
I rarely use since the wire and the 6BTV pretty much behave. Also have two MC60 mics one for the TS50 and the one for the TS940SAT. You'll also see in the pic an Astatic Golden Eagle D104 and an AEA PK232MBX TNC. I just picked up a Daiwa CN801 wat/swr meter very nice. Also have 2 Daiwa CN101 and a Kenwood SW2100 meter just for looks but it works.
The external speaker is also an SP940, both the TS940SAT, SP240, SW2100 the MFJ1275 Interface are all eBay purchases. I also have a Bencher Paddle and a Vectronics electronic keyer which bolts on to the paddle. The paddle I purchased about 15 years ago. 2 Power supplies an Astron RS20S and an MFJ4245 both do a nice job For a little extra power I have a brand spankin new Ameritron AL811 RF amp which I have never used other than plugging
it in and keyed it up for a few seconds to make sure that it all worked together other than that it just sits there.  Reason being for about 3 years now I've been hooked on PSK so much that I've only been on phone maybe twice since starting PSK/Digi mode. I'm considered disabled which means I have a few health problems so I really enjoy ham radio. Ham Radio gives me something to do and also helps make new friends, I'm also on a bunch of Yahoo Groups.
