Been a ham since 1989. Always wanted to be since my cousin showed me his station when I was 9 years old. Took 25 years to make that happen.
CW is my favorite mode. Like SSB. Learning the digital modes since getting back on the air in 11/2023 after a decade-long hiatus.
Retired (finally!) in Nov 2023 after over 40 years in high-tech, mostly software. Celebrated by purchasing and now running my "retirement" station: An FTDX101D to an Acom 1000 to a Hy-gain AV640 9-band vertical.
Looking forward to starting on a tower in the Spring of 2024. Then meeting you on the air!
