Got my Novice in 1962. Up graded to General in 1963. I operate all HF bands except 160. My yard is too small. Right now I have an ICOM 7000, an SB -220 (which is in-op at the moment), and a Carolina Windom with an MFJ986 tuner. I also have a 144/440 beam mounted on the side of the house at about 25 feet. But, there is no rotor, so I aimed it north west and let it go at that. I just got my DXCC award and I have 4 more states I need on LOTW to make WAS. Actually, worked all of those, but EQSL and LOTW don't mesh. I don't do mail QSL cards right now. It's just too expensive. Sorry. I appreciate all those that have sent me their's. I like to operate sideband most of the time, but I also use JT-65A and PSK, as well as digital and analog SSTV. I do local public service events with the Virginia Beach Amateur Radio Club. I am a life member with Ocean Park Vounteer Rescue Squad. I do Admin work now, but was an active paramedic. I am retired from Sentara Health Care and the US Navy. Virginia Beach was my last duty station-at NAS Oceana. I was in Aviation Electronics. I served in the Air Force during Viet Nam, but I went to the Middle East for my overseas tour, so never saw combat duty. I did Microwave Radio Relay in the Air Force. Looking forward to more good contacts in the future. 73 to All
