 I retired as a Data Networking Engineer in 2006 after 26 years with Siemens.  I've been a Ham since 1963 and enjoy operating all modes and frequencies.  I'm currently concentrating my efforts on FT8 and really enjoying it.  WSJT-X and JTAlertX software makes it so easy to log all my QSOs in multiple logging programs at the same time with one click of the mouse.  If you're connected to the internet, there's really no reason not to confirm a QSO in whatever logging program the Ham on the other end of the QSO uses.
