User info
Hi,
My name is Dave, my QTH is the town of Chesterfield in central United Kingdom (Grid Square IO93gf, CQ Zone 14, ITU Zone 27). As a boy, I was brought up in a house with a keen operator, learning from my father Roy G3YSY who sadly passed away in 2012. I passed my licence examination back in 1994, and have been on and off the air since as spare time denotes.

I am fortunate to live in central England in a town called Chesterfield, situated on the edge of the Peak District national park, and surrounded by historic attractions.

Chatsworth House.
Chesterfield itself has a large outdoor Market dating from 1165AD, and is famous for its church with a Crooked Spire dating from the 14th Century. Many reasons for the defect have been suggested, One of the more likely explanations is that during the great plague of 1349 work was suspended on the spire, allowing rain to soak into the timbers and the sun to dry them unevenly.
