I was first licensed in 1981 when only VHF was allowed. I took a long 30 year break from Amateur radio but still kept going as an SWL for most of the time. In 2014 I found that I was now entitled to use HF as the CW requirement had ended and was also re-visiting my interest in electronics and radio so I re-applied for my licence. I am now finding it great fun and am mostly interested in the data modes.
