   I have been licensed since the end of 1992 but i have had an active interest in radio since 1977 when i was 9yrs old. I was introduced to cb by a friend whos dad and elder brother had been using one for many years an old 23 channel GEC am set and an old valve drake set which was crystalled up for eleven but was still able to listen on the lower bands which fueled my interest in radio. It wasnt long before i had my own cb and a few years later (1985) I went to Doncaster Tech for the R A E but at the time with one thing and another didnt complete the course and it was only when a work colleague wanted to do the course that i went again this time to wakefield city college and completed the course and passed with distinction. It was just a few months later i sat my 12wpm morse test and the rest is history. I have had a short period of time away from radio due to other family commitments but now i am getting back into it the way i used to with the same enthusiasm as i had when i was 9. So if you hear me on the bands give me a call answer my cq i enjoy a good rag chew and i dont mind the 59 73s contacts either they are all contacts and thats what its all about. so I wish you all 73s and good dx de G0VXM Greg in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire, England.
