Started Ham radio in April 1974 on 27 Mhz with a Tokai 500. Radio club UFR (No 301) / KENA with Lafayette Micro12, vertical GP 1/2 λ and Somerkamp FR50B.

Military radio telegraph operator in 1976-1977 - DA1SU in Germany (42°RT in Rastatt)

Amateur radio full license in December 1977 work on Kenwood TS-520 with 3 Elements Frtizel FB33 antenna and W3DZZ dipole. I never do contest.

Hobbies, interests : electronics DIY, Short waves listening, digital transmission modes, QRP, Bretagne (Breizh Britany), Scottish bagpipe, photography, genealogy, various hacking activities...

Yaesu FT-897D  (35w in FT8).
Yaesu ATAS-120A  (7 to 432 Mhz) screwdriver antenna, vertical mobile height 5 feet (1.5 m) placed on my terrace at 2 m above ground with 18 radials 1/4 λ 
PC Rysen7-5800H 64Gb W10, WSJT-X, HRD v5.24, QRZ LogBook, JTAlert, LOTW, PSKReporter.

Nothing else, nothing, but a lot of patience on powerful signals filtered louder than 0 db...

 

Digital modes like FT8/4 coupled to my tiny magic antenna, help me forget that I don't have any antenna on the roof of my new building but that it is still possible to correspond with the whole world as before I moved...
