User info
ABOUT ME: My name is Denis and I am located in Stockstadt am Main, JN49mx, about 50km south-east of Francfort-City in central Germany. Due to a present of my father, DH6NWS, I started with a CB-Radio in the 90's. I have been licensed class 1 ham radio operator since April 2003 and my former class 2 call was DB1NDS. For the ham radio exam we have been teached by DL2NBH. My operations were resting for a while until I started radio operations in 2016 again. Up to now I am supported by DL2NBH and some club-members of DOK BØ4 (DD7YB, DK9EJ, DL3NDD) that help me to improve my practical knowledge. I am member of the Local Club BØ4 within the German Radio Association DARC. MY RIG: At the moment it is not possible for me to setup a shack at home, but I hope this will change next year. This is why I operate mainly portable or mobile in the flats of the Rhine-Main-Area (100m asl) or on the hills of the Spessart-Area (400-586m asl). My mobile HF-rig is a Yaesu FT-857 with an ATAS-100 on the rooftop. For portable operation I use a homebrew wire-groundplane on a fishing pole or an inverted Vee on a 33ft fiberglass-pole. The maximum power is 100W and I mainly operate in SSB.View on Map (JN49MX)
