 I obtained my first license in 1980 at the age of 19. Only nine months later I upgraded to a full HF license and received the callsign DL3HAH. Since the beginning I am addicted to CW. However, occasional contacts in digital modes or SSB may happen.

In 1994 my shack was converted into a bedroom for the first of my three daughters. I went off air for more than 16 years as my profession as a computer scientist kept me moving around in Germany. Luckily, I was able to participate in major contests from many interesting places around the world.

In 2009 I settled down in a small village west of Cologne where I could finally set up a radio station again. As time and propagation permit, I am looking to complete my DXCC Award.
