 Hello YL, OM and SWL,

my year of construction is 1965, in spring 1993 I made my VHF licence and got the callsign DG1ELF.
Since I had fulfilled all the requirements for the "big" shortwave licence at the VHF exam and I really wanted to be active on shortwave, I sat down at the key and diligently learned CW, so that I could qualify for the "big" licence in DL in late summer 1993 and have been QRV under DL1EMV since then.
At that time I was active on shortwave in SSB and SSTV, and on VHF in FM, SSB and Packet Radio. 
But in 2003 I had an extreme health setback, so it was quiet around DL1EMV for a very, very long time.
Then in 2019 I decided to become QRV again and dared a re-entry into amateur radio. So far I don't regret it, it's just as much fun as in the youth years. 
Basically I am a very interested person, not to say curious, so I want to try out and understand many modes.
I like to experiment with self-made antennas, especially since you can achieve good results with quite simple means.
At the moment I'm active again on shortwave in SSB and FT8, and on UKW in FM, DMR and C4FM.
