To be a radio amateur was a dream of my childhood.  In that era when resources and information were limited, I couldn't make a transceiver and could only read some books and magazines my father brought from old bookstalls.  I had being obsessed with a Japanese magazine «?????»(Children's Discovery).  Although I can't read Japanese, I can see the pictures or illustrations, and imagine the stories.  I finally got my license in 1995.  Thank you for your visit and look forward to meet you on the air.

My station used to use an antenna on the roof. Later, because it was inconvenient to go up to the roof, I brewed a set of shortened vertical dipole in 2020. Since the antenna is mounted along the house, there are many objects nearby, so the antenna is adjusted to resonate with the nearby objects to achieve impedance matching. Such transmitting efficiency is not great and often suffers from QSB, but at least it works. It looks quite durable and easy to maintain. I use acronym SVDP to describe this antenna when CW QSO.
