I am a member of the Cockenzie & Port Seton Amateur Radio Club (East Lothian  (www.cpsarc.com) where I did my foundation and Intermediate exams. I would just like to thank all the people involved in taking these exams, who give up their time.                          

                                      All thats left to do now is get through the advance exam:

Hi, my name is Tommy and i live in the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. I have always had an interest in radio for many years, but only recently in last yr i have decided to take it that one step further, by passing my foundation.  My radio(s) are  is the Yaesu FT7900 for the Car and Yaesu FT920 for the home.  Due to limitation My antenna(s) is a long wire loop in loft which covers 6, 15, 20 and 40 mtrs. I have a Watson x50 base antenna, and an Atom 4 for Mobile use. Fascinated with the word dxing, and what it can achieve. Would love to take this whole new experience one step further. So if any DX Stations hear me. Please call for me. I am a UK Intermediate operator. I can only use 50 Watts Max Power. Wishing you all the Best 73s. Tommy,

Update - Since Passing my Foundation Liscence in November 2015 I had an oportunity to operate on a special contest  at East Fortune Museum of Flight on 18/19th June 2016 to gain some expreience of 20m/40m Dxing and loved every minute. on sunday 19th 40m conditions were not good but overall my club had just over 1000 contacts between 20/40m band. In October 2016 CQWW weekend at Barnsness Lighthouse near Dunbar Unfortunately the Band Conditions were not the best but between the team we managed to get most of our contacs on top band which was unusual. Update Passed Intermediate Liscence January 2017  Next stage Full License......

Its a Hobby of allsorts. Like (Marmite) like it or loth it, I have now taken an interest in FT4/FT8 operation.......
